This vintage child’s clown costume was manufactured by the Collegeville Costume Co. It is a classic two-piece costume, constructed out of flame-retardant crinkle cut rayon or thin synthetic fabric. The costume features a graphic shirt showcasing a clown face with a diamond patterned ruff, paired with mismatched split-design pants; one side bright yellow and the other side red with large black polka dots. THIS COSTUME IS CONSIDERED TO BE UNCOMMON TO SCARCE AND WAS DESIGNED TO BE WORN ONCE OR TWICE. THIS IS AN AMAZINGLY RARE FIND OF THIS EXACT COSTUME IN THIS CONDITION. This was my childhood costume and has been lovingly stored for many years to preserve it. It has never been exposed to smoke. There is no size tag in the costume but I would have been approximately age 5 when I wore this.
Early Gypsy Renaissance Mardi Gras Mask, over 3 ft. Red, black, gold, feathers
This is a vintage or early Alexis Seepo Gypsy Renaissance masquerade mask (the newspapers it’s packaged with is from the mid-1980s). It looks like the mask’s name was Evita and it features long feathers that are read, beads or bling and a tie string for the mask part. If you follow the curve of the feathers it’s about 40 inches from end to end so is pretty magnificent. Seems to be in nice shape except maybe the ribbon flower seems a bit crushed, I hope you have fun with it! If you are international, you’ll have to pay for it, sorry.
