Vintage Ben Cooper Clown Halloween Costume #256 Size 12-14 Complete with Box
Offered is an original vintage Ben Cooper masquerade clown Halloween costume, believed to date from the early-to-mid 1960s. The set includes the colorful molded plastic clown mask, satin-like clown jumpsuit, separate cape and its original illustrated window box. The box identifies the costume as “Clown, ” style number 256, size 12-14, with code C 712-14. The costume features a blue and red body with silver-glitter clown decoration, multicolored polka-dot lower section and oversized red clown-style legs. The molded mask has bright red hair, a large red nose and a small clown hat. This is a visually striking survivor from the classic era of inexpensive Ben Cooper boxed Halloween costumes and would make an excellent vintage Halloween or circus display. Condition is vintage and used. The mask has slight dents, creasing, surface marks and age discoloration. The costume has wrinkles, minor soiling and age-related fabric and decoration wear. The original box shows significant wear, including staining, rubbing, edge damage, a split along the left front edge and slight damage to the clear window. I absolutely love the nostalgia of these old Ben Cooper Halloween costumes, and this one has an especially sweet story behind it. This is a vintage Ben Cooper Boney costume and mask, Size Medium, complete with the original box. I think there is something really special about someone keeping their child’s Halloween costume tucked away and preserved for all those years. It survived because it was loved, and now I would love to see it go to another collector who understands the magic of these old Halloween costumes. The costume has that wonderfully spooky, colorful, old-school Halloween look that you just don’t get anymore. A fantastic piece for a vintage Halloween collection, Ben Cooper collector, or anyone who remembers the excitement of choosing a costume from the rack at the store and bringing it home. Vintage Ben Cooper Boney costume and mask. Great nostalgic display piece. Condition: Overall, this is in very good vintage condition for its age. The box has some creasing and denting from storage, and the clear plastic window on the front of the box is not fully intact. The mask has a few faded stains and a few small cracks. These imperfections are visible in the photos, so please look carefully at all photos before purchasing. The photos are part of the description and show the exact costume and box you will receive. This is one of those pieces that feels like a little time capsule from Halloween past. Original licensed Scream costume with the early pink/purple “Bleeding Scream Stalker” packaging. Original package states fits up to 220 lbs. Hooded black Scream Stalker robe/costume. Original two-layer bleeding Ghost Face/Scream mask. Original heart-shaped blood pump. Original clear tubing/bleeding mechanism. Original Fun World Scream Stalker carrying package. Original fabric gloves are MISSING and are NOT included. Knife shown in some photos was acquired separately and is NOT part of this listing. No liquid has been run through the system for testing. Mask is marked “EU CHINA” on the interior. Mask retains its interior foam pads, elastic strap, mesh eye areas and bleeding-mask construction. Please see close-up photographs for condition.
