This is a very hard to find costume. The mask is in great shape, the string on the back pulled through on the one side. The costume top looks ok, just needs to be ironed/straightened out. 1950s BEN COOPER SPIDER-MAN HALLOWEEN COSTUME MASK BEFORE AMAZING FANTASY #15
The exact year is not known but there are known pictures of kids wearing this mask in the late 1950s, years before Marvel introduced its version of Spider-Man in 1962 in Amazing Fantasy #15. Because of their rarity, not much is known about these old costumes, but information on this is found in a book called The Full-Color Guide to Marvel Silver Age Collectibles. This would be consistent with the unused condition of the mask and string and hook. Fewer than ten of these old masks have ever turned up for sale, and this may be the one in the nicest condition.
