Vintage 1950’s Superman “The Official Play Suit” by Ben Cooper #688 (I THINK Size 8-10 see measurements) A lot of young boys living in the early 50’s wanted to look like their idol Superman. This Superman play suit came from that era. The Superman Play Suit is in excellent condition as you can judge by the photos. It might have been worn once, the threads that held it together in the box are still on it. No stains or holes. What you see in the photos is what you will receive. The Cape, the top with Emblem, the pants. I took a picture of these types of Superman Ben Cooper costumes from the Book “The Adventures of Superman Collecting”. Comes complete with its original box. Style# 14526 TONTO Size: Large Ages 8-10. Condition is VG+ to Excellent! Does a a few dirty spots from the years of storage. Original box dose have some damage, see pic. Costume has no tears no rips, Fringes are excellent! The original leather lace for shirt that’s never been put on or used. BEN COOPER BATMAN PLAY SUIT HALLOWEEN COSTUME C. Please check all the pics and ask questions. You get the box, the body suit and two masks. Both mask have cracking and wear. One has the mouth cut out to be large than normal. The body suit is in very nice shape but it needs cleaning. There is some soiling, and some spotting to the lower legs that you cannot see in the pics. The box is a displayable good. It does who wear and abrasions. It also shows makes and soiling, and the name is written in at least two places. The size is large. The most recent date is 1975, though there are several dates on the box. I would say that it was never worn and that there is not any flaw in it other than it needs to be ironed to lay flat if you want it to. There is also a very very faint mildew smell but it is very reasonable. The costume is size 12. The engineer costume seems to be much harder to find than Indians and western wear.
