Vintage New Orleans Mardi Gras Costume designed by Louis R. Massett Parade Worn
This vintage New Orleans Mardi Gras costume was designed by Louis R. Massett Jr and is handmade in the United States. The costume is size 2XL and features a multicolor design, perfect for a masquerade occasion. This unique piece was parade-worn from the 1995 Krewe of Caesar and embodies a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde theme, fitting for the vibrant and festive atmosphere of Mardi Gras celebrations in the 1990s. I personally wore this once in the parade. It has not seen daylight until now. It has a few stains on it and it has never been cleaned. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Extremely Rare 1930’s Collegeville Masquerade Costume H-500 Witch w Cloth Mask New In Box. This extremely rare Collegeville Costumes “Masquerade Costume” is brand new in the box and is believed to date from the late 1930’s or early 1940’s. This “H-500 Witch” is a size large and is believed to be complete, although we couldn’t find another one anywhere to compare it to, so we don’t know for sure. The box measures 12″ x 10 1/2″ x 4 and is in excellent shape with minimal wear and bright colors. What a really cool vintage Halloween item! One of the earliest Halloween costumes we have ever seen! Item Condition: All items are preowned unless specified. Most are antique or vintage and may show wear or damage typical of items of its age. We try to describe that to the best of our ability, but sometimes we do miss things, so view pictures carefully for best judge of condition. They are considered part of item description. Since we do not know the history of each item we cannot promise that it will not smell like smoke, pets etc, although we do try to describe any noticeable smells. Vintage Ben Cooper Deluxe Quality Skeleton Skull Halloween Costume 1960’s Unused NOS Complete with Mask Outfit Box. You will receive all that is shown in the photos for this listing. First photo represents all items in the lot, subsequent photos are closer views of the items/condition. Box is not dated and had a similar box and costume that were from the 1960s with this style box. Ben Cooper Deluxe Quality branding. Reference #2791 size Young Adult (16-18) per box details. Costume Made in U. Includes outfit with the silver glitter on the upper part of the costume and the lower part has the white bone details. Different textures/designs as shown in close up photos. Noted on box “All Rayon Exclusive of Ornamentation”. The string part on the back is still tied in original condition and costume has never been used. Outstanding condition on an item that is approx. The mask has the original black string and in unused condition as shown in photos with no cracks or damage. A couple photos shown using a blacklight to show the fluorescent coloring on some areas of the mask. The box is does have some wear and tear to include creasing, edge wear and a price faintly written in green pen on the end where the name information of the costume is located. There are a couple of tears/splits in the box top (under the side area of the words Deluxe Quality – noticeable in photos). There is no cellophane window on the box. Approximate measurement with tape measure shown in photos as a reference of the size as well as what is noted on the box.
