Don Post Metaluna Mutant, 1998 Calendar Reissue, THIS ISLAND EARTH (1955)
Here is the METALUNA MUTANT from the 1955 film This Island Earth. This Mask was made by the one and only Don Post Studios and part of the 1998 Calendar Reissue Series. This piece is in great condition with no tears, rot, hard spots, etc. If you look at the close-up picture above, there is a small spot with a paint touchup. It’s very small and not even noticeable since this mask is HUGE. The original foam padding is still inside the head, and in fantastic condition, to fit better if you decide to wear it. This is a super rare crazy mint condition 1989 Knb unused production made pull for Halloween 5 revenge of Michael Myers, this mask remained blank for years and finally got to Scott Spencer who did the paint and hair and nose appliance, Ive been told its a ssn nose appliance that Sean Clark had molded directly off of one of the original hero masks. This is as good as gets, this is a real film production made Knb pull made for the film that never made it in the film, bust included.
