Authentic 1950s GYPSY Halloween Costume in original Collegeville Box? This scarce and wonderful Halloween costume is a one-of-a-kind find! This is a full set which includes: the vest, shirt, skirt, earrings, and tambourines. Outside of box is marked Medium 8 to 10. ” Vest measures 15″ long x 15 wide. Shirt long x sleeves are 17″ long, Body of shirt 16″ long x 12 wide. Skirt measures 18″ long x 36″ wide. The waist measures approximately 22 round. All measurements are approximate. ? Skirt shows a a few light stains probably from that Halloween night long ago… But does not detract. All clothing pieces are in VG condition with no rips, tears, or dry-rotting. (See photos)? The earrings were stuffed in the shirt pocket, so I assume Mom supplied these to her “little Gypsy” to complete her outfit. Gypsies & Flamenco dancers grace the front of each tambourine. They are made from tin, have a lithographic design, and are made by the U. Metal Toy Mfg Company. Both tambourines have rust and paint fading/chipping. Tambourines were stored separately in a shed. ? Original box is in poor condition. It was flattened in storage, but is gently taped together on the inside to hold shape. 200, Child, Gypsy Girl, Size Medium 8 to 10. Great to prove provenance of item. Great display piece for that Halloween collector, costume designer, or aficionado or mid century fabrics and clothing designs.
RARE 1920s Antique Halloween Costume Fortune Teller Turban with Bakelite Hoops
1920s Fortune Teller Turban – 1920s Halloween Costume – 1920s Fortune Teller Costume – 1920s Turban – 20s Deco Turban – 1920s Occult Turban. Out of this world and I must be out of my mind to let it go. This incredible piece is from an extensive private collection. All original 1920s custom construction. Regarded as a costume piece and truly one of a kind. The foundation is a crude structure of sturdy wrapped wire covered in a natural fiber netting overlay. The exterior is covered in a semi lustrous black silk and features a stunning cerulean blue velvet crescent moon at front. The moon is detailed with bold black jet beading and features a genuine horse hair plume. Attached to either side are grass green bakelite hoops that are intended to represent hoop earrings. Holy moly they thought of everything! Such an incredible piece. Condition is listed as good. With consideration to the custom construction, this piece has endured because of it’s sturdy foundation. There are spilts and small areas of shattering to the silk noted throughout although primarily at the rear. No structural damage and the original embellishments appear to be fully intact. Zoltan Fortune Teller By Gemmy
I have owned this Zoltan for years, very rarely used just displayed. Still have original box , styrofoam etc that the Zoltan came with. Naturally it comes with the 12 volt adapter to plug in the wall, if you wanted to run it like that, comes with the microphone still in a plastic wrapper, 9-volt battery was always removed so no acid damage there either. You can use your own voice with the microphone and make your own fortunes, or statements, and inside Zoltan will light up and work the same way. Possibilities are endless with zultan.
