RARE 1920s Antique Halloween Costume Fortune Teller Turban with Bakelite Hoops
1920s Fortune Teller Turban – 1920s Halloween Costume – 1920s Fortune Teller Costume – 1920s Turban – 20s Deco Turban – 1920s Occult Turban. Out of this world and I must be out of my mind to let it go. This incredible piece is from an extensive private collection. All original 1920s custom construction. Regarded as a costume piece and truly one of a kind. The foundation is a crude structure of sturdy wrapped wire covered in a natural fiber netting overlay. The exterior is covered in a semi lustrous black silk and features a stunning cerulean blue velvet crescent moon at front. The moon is detailed with bold black jet beading and features a genuine horse hair plume. Attached to either side are grass green bakelite hoops that are intended to represent hoop earrings. Holy moly they thought of everything! Such an incredible piece. Condition is listed as good. With consideration to the custom construction, this piece has endured because of it’s sturdy foundation. There are spilts and small areas of shattering to the silk noted throughout although primarily at the rear. No structural damage and the original embellishments appear to be fully intact.
