The costume clothing itself are fragile and some stains are visible, and the mask is missing the rubber band to hold it on your head. Otherwise this is all a very colorful, intact set dated back to the late 60’s to 70’s! The carton has some storage wear with a ding here and ping there but again, still together from it being manufactured. Dimensions of the carton 12x9x3. Up for sale is a vintage 1972 Ben Cooper Spider-Man costume. The size of the costume is medium. The box has heavy wear and tear and rips and bends. There is no plastic on the front of the box. There is also writing on the top right corner of the box. The mask has heavy dents and the rubber band is broken. The costume itself is in great condition with a little staining and wrinkles. These costumes and boxes were not meant to least and are delicate so this is a rare find and is in pretty good condition considering it is almost 50 years old. They don’t make costumes like they used to and that is clear with this vintage Ben Cooper piece. The company teamed up with Walt Disney to create a line of Disney characters in the 40s or 50s and this is one of them. It is Pluto and comes with a molded fabric/gauze mask, a hair cover for the back of the head and a yellow costume that shows Pluto and has his name around the neck line. It comes with the original box that still has a cardboard hanger in it. It’s in pretty good condition for its age. The costume has gotten a little stiff but i imagine moving it around some will loosen it up. The mask was stored in a way that caused it be a little smooshed in the face, but you might be able to re-create the right shape. In the pic of the back of the mask it looks like there is a hole in it, but that is just some black stuff, not a hole. There is a little bit of wear on the black part of the costume, but nothing crazy. Check out the photos to get a better idea of everything. The box has some water damage and wear but still holds the costume!
