Vintage Walt Disney Pluto Costume Complete With Mask + Original Box Ben Cooper
They don’t make costumes like they used to and that is clear with this vintage Ben Cooper piece. The company teamed up with Walt Disney to create a line of Disney characters in the 40s or 50s and this is one of them. It is Pluto and comes with a molded fabric/gauze mask, a hair cover for the back of the head and a yellow costume that shows Pluto and has his name around the neck line. It comes with the original box that still has a cardboard hanger in it. It’s in pretty good condition for its age. The costume has gotten a little stiff but i imagine moving it around some will loosen it up. The mask was stored in a way that caused it be a little smooshed in the face, but you might be able to re-create the right shape. In the pic of the back of the mask it looks like there is a hole in it, but that is just some black stuff, not a hole. There is a little bit of wear on the black part of the costume, but nothing crazy. Check out the photos to get a better idea of everything. The box has some water damage and wear but still holds the costume!

Item: Costume – Vintage. Walt Disney’s favorite cricket from Pinocchio. Size: Small (Age 4-6). Box Dimensions: (Approx) 11.25 x 8.5 x 4.5. Nice Unrestored Old Original. Year Made: Late 1950s-1960s. Everything is in Very Nice Shape. Original Cellophane still on the box. Original Price tag still on the box. Mask is in excellent used shape. Some roughness around the eyes. Costume is fully intact but has some stains on it. I didn’t try to clean them off. Black Felt Long Coat and Black cowl (probably to wear under a top hat) are in excellent shape.
