I was kind of on the fence about ordering this cat. I’m happy to report it is. When I was looking at photos of it I didn’t know if it had a soft body or how it was made. But now in person, I can see that the entire body is the same lightweight paper mache that the head is made of. If you’ve seen the Sassy Cat lantern the head is just like it and actually I’m thinking might be identical except for a different hat. Scaredy Cat holds a very nice little paper mache bucket in his hand. It’s removable so you can put it on either hand. The costume is almost like a thin black cheesecloth draped and there are crepe paper pom poms and collar. If you take off the hat you can reach your hand down past the head and into the body. There is a paper insert for the eyes and nose so if you can figure out a way of getting a battery operated light to stay in there this would make a very cool lantern! 28 inches tall with the hat, about 9 inches across at the arms.
